Membership at Lynn Lane Baptist Church

Everyone is a welcomed guest to worship and fellowship with us. LLBC is a loving family of believers committed to the Lord Jesus Christ. Our prayer is that you would join us as a part of our church family. You can request membership by filling out one of our Communication Cards and placing it in one of the offering boxes in the church foyer, or make your request known to the pastor during the invitation time at the end of the pastor's sermon. One of our pastors will then meet with your to hear your testimony of coming to know Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior. You will then be presented to our church during the time of the invitation at a later date and welcomed to our church. 

Becoming a Member

BY PROFESSION OF FAITH AND BAPTISM

If you receive Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, or if you have already done so, but you have never been baptized as a confession of your faith and as a commitment to follow him as his disciple, you will be joyfully received as a member, which will become official when you are baptized.

WHAT IS BAPTISM AND WHY DO WE BAPTIZE BY IMMERSION? In baptism we demonstrate the gospel story: the death, burial, and resurrection of the Lord Jesus Christ. Immersion best pictures this. Baptism is a testimony of your faith in your Lord and Savior. We are baptized in obedience to the commands of Scripture. Baptism is a commitment to Christ, and to His people.

 BY LETTER FROM ANOTHER BAPTIST CHURCH

 If you are currently a member of another Baptist church, our Church Clerk will notify your former church and request a letter of recommendation. That letter will then validate your membership with our church family.

 BY STATEMENT OF FAITH

 You may become a member if you are not currently a member of a Baptist church and you have received Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior in the past. Also, you have been baptized by immersion by a Christian church that believes and teaches the essential doctrines of the Christian faith, especially faith in the gospel of the New Testament and in the Trinity of God you may also be received by your statement of faith,
