There was a popular movie not too long ago that introduced the phrase…’Houston, we have a problem…” into our lingo.  Today, I would like to change that phrase to – “Christians, we have a problem.”  The problem we have today is we do not know what to do with Jesus.  Most of us feel today we have moved beyond Jesus.  Even most Christians feel today there are many ways to heaven.  In other words, Jesus has been reduced to one of many ways to God.  If all else fails, we still have our science – we can believe in it.  But science does not answer all our questions.

What do we do with Jesus?  If we reject Him or make Him less that God, what do we have?  Mostly, what we have is faith in our ability – a set of works, or obedience to a set of rules.  So we can choose a system of works or rules.  The problem with keeping rules is we are sinners and not capable of being perfect.

So, the choice is ours, works or grace.  I choose grace because it includes the love of God.  God’s love and the cross is what purchased our forgiveness.  How can we reject such a great love?  The problem though is still the same – What will you do with Jesus?
